When you sign up for ResqPet pet rescue alerts, we collect the following information:

  • Your location preferences (city, ZIP code, or geographic area for relevant alerts)
  • Message delivery and interaction data (timestamps, delivery confirmations)
  • Your opt-in consent records

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide the ResqPet pet rescue alert service, including:

  • Sending lost pet alerts in your selected geographic area
  • Sending found pet notifications and reunion updates
  • Delivering service-related messages (subscription confirmations, opt-out confirmations)
  • Responding to your HELP and STOP requests

We do not use your phone number for marketing, promotional messages, or any purpose unrelated to the pet rescue alert service.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data to any third party. Your SMS consent information is used exclusively for the purpose of delivering pet rescue alerts.

We may share your information only with the following service providers who assist in delivering our SMS messages:

  • Our SMS platform provider (Twilio) for message transmission
  • Telecommunications carriers for message delivery

These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information solely for the purpose of delivering messages and are prohibited from using your data for their own marketing purposes.

All categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

4. Opting Out

You may unsubscribe from ResqPet alerts at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You may also text STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, CANCEL, or QUIT to opt out.

Upon receiving your opt-out request, you will receive one final confirmation message confirming your unsubscription. You will not receive any further messages from ResqPet unless you choose to resubscribe by texting START.

Message frequency varies based on pet rescue activity in your selected geographic area. During active search situations, you may receive multiple messages per day. During quiet periods, you may receive few or no messages.

We retain your consent records, phone number, and opt-in/opt-out history for the duration of your subscription plus four (4) years, as required for TCPA compliance. This retention period allows us to demonstrate compliance with applicable regulations if required.

If you wish to request deletion of your data after opting out, please contact us at support@resqpet.us. Note that we may be required to retain certain records for regulatory compliance purposes.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
